Tai-chi People Who hHave Had a Narrow Escape from Death

¡¡¡¡¡¡ From December 18 to 20 of 2005, the 2 nd World Tai-chi Chuan Health Conference was held in Haikou , Hainan Province of China. The meeting convened more than 2,000 Tai-chi Chuan practitioners throughout the world. More than 20 famous Chinese masters and heads of various schools or sects of Tai-chi Chuan were also invited to the contest. There were also many Tai-chi Chuan fans, including many practitioners who were looking for the famous masters to have a test of their Kungfu. Quite by accident, Mr. Kongming and Tai-chi Girl came across these people there.
¡¡¡¡ Due to her excellent performance, Tai-chi Girl attracted a large number of spectators. An old Tai-chi master who has practiced the Kungfu for several decades and whose weight was about 85 kg tried his best to push Wenjie, but failed to move the girl. Then he let Wenjie push him, and was moved at only one push. The old man was sincerely convinced by Tai-chi Girl's Kungfu and Wenjie's name also spread like wildfire. The next morning, there came seven people who were masters from different places and wanted all to have a test of Wenjie's Kungfu. At th at em moment, Tai-chi Girl was exactly practicing Tai-chi Chuan for someone requested to have her performance filmed. So the group of masters wanted Mr. Kongming to have a contest in the aspect of pushing technique tuishou . When Mr. Kongming replied that he couldn't do it, they didn't believe that and said that ¡°you were Tai-chi Girl's master. How is it possible that you are not good at it?¡± As a matter of fact, Mr. Kongming seldom practices the pushing technique because he thinks that it is easy to result in rigid responses of the consciousness and what's more, he seldom competes with others. Finally he explained it away and the masters began to test each other. Then a 45 year old master gained the upper hand. He could push others away the moment they engaged. All the other people went to consult him. The master was not being modest and began to brag about his Kungfu, as if he was the best in the world. In fact, the master was really very versed in his martial art and by any means matched the title of master-hand. At sight of this master's play, Mr. Kongming went up and said, ¡°Master, let me have a try, please.¡± Then both of them got into their positions and held the hands of each other. Mr. Kongming asked the master to push him first, but his opponent refused. Generally speaking, Tai-chi Chuan masters prefer to push others after their opponents apply their strength and ferocious strength in particular. Mr. Kongming practiced sanshou when he was a child and could respond very quickly to whatever actions, because spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Way can stimulate the spirit and consciousness of its practitioner and make them sensitive and agile like ferocious tigers when they are in confrontations. The master would suffer if he didn't know this point. Then Mr. Kongming pushed him with 70% of his strength, which common people could not stand indeed. The master was indeed a well-experienced master. He turned to dissolve Mr. Kongming's force only to find him pushed to bend backward. Without giv ing e time for his opponent to respond, Mr. Kongming followed the course of his hands and pressed his opponent down. Then the master came into the posture of a bent shrimp. In fact, Mr. Kongming used only 70% of his strength. His advantages lied only in speed and response. Seeing that the master would fall down to the ground soon, Mr. Kongming gave a hand to his opponent stealthily by pulling his shoulders back . The master didn't fall down, but surprisingly he flung his hands towards Mr. Kongming's chest. To be specific, he wanted to hit Mr. Kongming by the chest. This time, Mr. Kongming used his right hand to ward off the coming arms of his opponent first and the master threw himself on the ground, supported by his hands , to do a justice to him. In an instant, the opposite threw his hands again at Mr. Kongming, who turned and stroke the arms of his opponent. As a result, the master flung himself on the ground again. Now he stopped attacking. The whole process last only several seconds. Mr. Kongming was very sensitive, indeed. He could respond to others accordingly. If others attacked consecutively, he could respond continuously, too. He didn't practice quick actions for years and seldom confronted with others. Finally, the master asked him what Kungfu he practiced. ¡° Tai-chi Way , or spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Chuan,¡± replied Mr. Kongming. He continued, ¡°Let me tell you that I am a person who has just transplanted the liver for only one year.¡± The people were astounded first and then began to admire Mr. Kongming. They asked him for instructions and Mr. Kongming taught them one by one.
¡¡¡¡ Then an audience accumulated. A man in his thirties came up to Mr. Kongming, grabbed his hand and said, ¡°I grab you and you can't break loose or lift me up.¡± Mr. Kongming cast his eyes on the young man, who was very muscular and wearing a black suit for Kungfu practitioners. His shoes were also black and only his stocks were white. Mr. Kongming knew that he was a well-experienced Kungfu practitioner at the first sight of him, who was rather confident. Then he said, ¡°really? I have never seen anyone who I failed to lift up.¡± As he said it, he applied a little bit of his strength. To his surprise, the young man has already bent down due to severe pains. Then the man tried another way to grab Mr. Kongming, who used again a little of his strength but didn't make him bend down. Instead, he said to the man, ¡°How about it? You will bend down again if I use a little bit more strength. May I use more my strength?¡± The young man betrayed an embarrassment, so Mr. Kongming loosed his hand not to embarrass let him embarrassed again. Later, he got to know that the young man was actually a master-hand who had many apprentices.
¡¡¡¡ After receiving a big operation, an ordinary person can't even recover in only one year, not to mention in the case of a the liver transplant operation . What's more, Mr. Kongming had suffered the terminal liver cancer. The biggest tumor had a diameter of 10.5 cm . Doctors didn't even want to carry out an operation on him any more because the tumor was close to the arterial blood vessel. His ward-mate, the actor Fu Biao, had already passed away for a tumor with a diameter of less than 10 cm . However, Mr. Kongming survived. It was a miracle, indeed. And the miracle was sheer the result of his own Tai-chi Way , namely, spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Chuan.
¡¡¡¡ Shortly after Mr. Kongming came back from Beijing , where he just had an operation, Zibo TV Station interviewed Tai-chi Girl Fu Wenjie and produced a the news program titled Tai-chi Girl. During the interview, the famous journalist and receiver of the national golden mike award Huo Xiaoyu was doubtful about the Tai-chi Kungfu of Mr. Kongming. The journalist was a very serious person, who never hyped the fact. Mr. Kongming knew that she was daring him to make a show for he didn't prepare to show up in the program just because he wanted to keep a low profile. In this circumstance, he had to demonstrate his natural Tai-chi Way which is tough, ferocious, flexible and sensitive yet without any format. The y program producer maker s, who seemed not to think highly of the spirit and consciousness dynamic Kungfu Mr. Kongming performed before, showered praised to him for the Kungfu he displayed in the studio and claimed that it was mysterious. One has to know that Mr. Kongming transplanted his liver only five months ago. The pipes were just pulled out of his stomach which was still bandaged then. Moreover, he didn't move so violently for a whole year. It is exactly a vivid demonstration of the principle of his Tai-chi Way , namely, storing energy but using none; using it ferociously when necessary, which suits the health preservation method and also the law of the Way.
¡¡¡¡ Now Mr. Kongming becomes stronger and stronger. A physical check found all of the medical indexes normal. The hepatitis B he contracted suffered in the past has also been cured and he has had antibiotics at present. He can lift up a 75 kg weight easily although he didn't practice weight-lifting since 1992 in which year he received an operation for liver cancer. When he had his liver transplanted, his physical condition was the worst. His weight was reduced by 20 kg so that he could not even recognize himself in the mirror. He was darker; he was bony; his couldn't straighten his waist; the flecks on his face and body became blacker. He had no appetite at all however sumptuous the dinner was is . For him, eating food is harder than taking medicines. He was in an extremely low spirit and wanted always to lie in bed. His haematine was reduced to the lowest level of only 5.4 g . His heartbeat frequency was 100 per minute when he lay idle and surged went up to 120 per minute when he stood up. He could feel the existence shadow of death all the time then. People would generally leave hospital one month after they are admitted to it , but he was hospitalized for two months. Even so, he overcame difficulties one after another and persevered in practicing his Tai-chi Kungfu which has no format. He persisted in walking some distance s and then went back to bed when tired. Every time after he finished doing exercises, it would take a long time for his heart to return to normal. Due to the requirement of liver transplant, a chopstick-like hose pierced through his stomach to give a vent to the bile from the new liver. Every day, there was 800-1,000 ml bile flowing out. And he had to carry the bag which served as a container of the bile while practicing his Tai-chi Way . Moreover, he had to be careful so as not to pull out the hose, which was sewed to the flesh. Except the treatment time, he seized every moment to practice his Kungfu. Doctors said the recrudescence rate of his disease was is extremely high; only 1% of the patients have been are cured; and 99% have perform ed badly after such operation. What's worse, the tumor has got very close to the arterial vessel. So at the beginning, the hospital was reluctant to conduct the liver transplant operation on him. After the operation, Mr. Kongming insisted not receiving the chemotherapy and radiotherapy, because he knew the key is to increase the vitality to defeat diseases. In this way, while receiving normal treatment, he dedicated himself to the learning of Chinese herbal medicine. He would request herbal medicine experts to teach him relevant theoretical knowledge; he would make an analysis on what he ate and decide which he could eat or could not eat. He was going to resume his vitality th r ough Tai-chi Way and life adjustment in order to overcome his disease. He said, I want to see if my Tai-chi health preservation method and Tai-chi martial art could overwhelm my diseases. If I should die, I would accept it with grace. Life and death are just like the day and night which changes alternate naturally. Why should we deem death so frightful? Death is a great thing, as great as the birth. So we shall be happy when it really comes. So we shall enjoy every day of life and enjoy the joys and sorrows of life. Life is a song, which will not be perfect with a single note lost. In fact, Mr. Kongming didn't want to receive the liver transplant operation at first; instead, he wanted to die peacefully at home . However, his family persuaded him vehemently so that he began to understand that he had to consider for others. His wife had been with her for twenty years and suffered a lot. Since 1991 when Mr. Kongming was hospitalized for the first time, his wife has been taking care of him. She has got more gray hair and looked much older. The fact compelled Mr. Kongming to have the will not to die. Just for his wife and daughter, he had to survive.
¡¡¡¡ At one time Mr. Kongming discovered that the hose vented out many substances. After checking doctors found that due to his practice of Kongfu, his health improved gradually, so he would apply some his strength sometimes in order to stimulate his vitality; consequently, the intensive activity squeeze the hose out of his liver. The hose fell down to the level of duodenum and thus the food flew out. At another time, blood flew out of the hose, which was also the result of his intensive practice of Tai-chi Way . Off course, all what he did have been approved of by his doctor, who didn't know that a person who had just had his liver transplanted could have so big strength. As a matter of fact, the patients of the similar kind they met before were all meticulous in actions, low-spirited and lethargic and would make a fuss out of every trivia. Mr. Kongming was also very fussy in the past at first . He would consult his doctors unceasingly in order to understand every problem he came across. His doctor said that he was the number one question master. In fact, Mr. Kongming has always been like this. It was not because he was afraid of death, but because he thought to be in the know is much better than to be ignorant and what's more, he had nothing that was the only thing he to could do then. Now that the heaven granted another chance of living to him, he would by no means miss it. He was going to live better because he had many missions which remained unfinished uncompleted . Off course, the outstanding expertise and conscientious service of the doctors and nurses of the PAP General Hospital were deeply appreciated by him. They were kind to him just like his family members. Mr. Kongming has specially been there for several times just to have a look at them. Although they were very busy, they would still say hello to him friendly. When he was in his most difficult time, the actor Fu Biao also gave him his encouragement and had a more than twenty minute conversation with him. Fu was a kindhearted man really for he has already realized some truth of the life then. There was also Captain Chen Lei of the PLA, who has become a good friend of Mr. Kongming. Chen is Secretary General of the liver transplant association and also a receiver of the liver transplant operation. He helped a lot of people and created the liver and kidney transplant website at his own expense. He also gave his hand to Mr. Kongming when he was in his hardest time and made him regain confidence and overcome difficulties.
¡¡¡¡ Mr. Kongming felt guilty to his wife Guo Hong and his daughter Tai-chi Girl Fu Wenjie, who were kept busy and anxious all the time by his health. His operation last twelve hours, but they were sleepless for two days or longer. After eight days in the intensive care unit, Mr. Kongming was moved to the general ward. The birthday of his daughter was around the corner then, but he was still bed-ridden and placed on the drip. Therefore, on the side of along his sickbed, Mr. Kongming, his wife and Wenjie's nephew held a special birthday party for his daughter. There were only some simple dishes, a birthday cake with eighteen lit candles. Mr. Kongming wrote a Ci (one of ancient Chinese poems) and read it to his daughter. However, he couldn't continue his reading because he was so excited that he burst into tears. He never shed tears in the past, but he did this time for his daughter, to whom he owed a great deal. Since his daughter began to be sensible and understanding, she hasn't had a health y father, who could have otherwise taken her out to travel or play. On the contrary, she could only have a father who was plagued by diseases and burdened with heavy work. His daughter was a very well-behaved girl. Now she has grown up. Seeing that her father cried, he burst into crying, too. She couldn't help weeping in the arms of her father and crying, ¡°I love you, father. You'll be OK. I still need you to teach me Tai-chi Chuan!¡±
¡¡¡¡ Finally Mr. Kongming came back to his home in Zibo , Shandong Province after living in Beijing for almost half a year (after leaving hospital, he rent a house nearby for he had to undertake physical checks frequently and the hospital's wardroom was not sufficient). Nobody knew why the boss had been gone away for so long. There were only some words that he had again contracted a heavy disease. When he left his company, he said goodbye to his managers in the conference room. He said after a the meeting that he would go to Beijing for, on the one hand, he had something to do; and on the other hand, he wanted to recuperate his health. He said that he might come back soon or he might come back after a long time. Everything was as normal as usual. He was still mild-tempered and talked with wit and humor so that nobody detected that he has had a critical illness. In the morning of the very day, a physical check in the No. 148 hospital located in Zhoucun , Zibo , found him with terminal liver cancer. In fact, Mr. Kongming has already felt the bad result smelled a rat from the inspections he was asked to go through one after another. When he pushed open the door of the doctors, who were studying his inspection result, and asked why they lingered in handing out his health report, the doctors said, ¡°Please ask your family members to come here.¡± ¡°No need, just tell me. Isn't it just death? What's so scary?¡± He replied. Then the doctors said that ¡°if you are really not afraid of it , we 'll all tell you.¡± Then a doctor inserted his CT film into the light box and pointed at one part of the liver image and said, ¡°You see, the largest (tumor) has already been as big as more than 10 cm . You must think of some ways to deal with it in some ways quickly¡¡± However, Mr. Kongming said by quoting a line of the famous Chinese poem in the ancient that ¡°No one can live forever! Why death is so frightening?¡± Actually the next line that ¡°Let me die with a loyal heart shining in the pages of history¡± was on the tip of his tongue, but thinking that he was not as great as the ancient hero, he choked it back. At the time, his wife was waiting outside the room. What was waiting for her was another outburst of tear. His wife has been with him for nearly twenty years and has tided over such big incidents as life and death with him one after another. The notices of critical illness were always handed out to her by hospitals. Mr. Kongming knew that he was really going to pass away this time and that his doomsday was coming soon. Nevertheless, he placated his wife with his singing, ¡°I'm going to leave you, my darling; please wipe up the tear in the corners of your eyes¡¡± All these are true rather than fictional.
During the period of receiving operation treatment, Mr. Kongming had to stay in Beijing for almost half a year. In the meantime, his group company was flourishing under the operation and management of a large number of smart and capable and professional managers and did not need him at all. Therefore, he settled himself down in practicing Tai-chi Way , which became the only work of him every day, no matter it is windy, rainy or snowy while his wife took care of him every day. Besides practicing Kungfu, he made research on the abstruse Way of Laozi. During his research, he found that others' interpretation of Laozi's work deviated a lot from Laozi's real intention. ( so So he is now was writing a book titled What Laozi Really Meant in a southern city). By practicing his Kungfu and exploring the truth, Mr. Kongming discovered the real meaning of life. What's more, he integrated Tai-chi Kungfu with the Way of Laozi, the two of which are actually inseparable, which denies people's knowledge.
¡¡¡¡ Every Kungfu has to be experienced deeply and practiced heart and soul peacefully. This is what he calls wholeheartedness, which is the foundation of his Tai-chi K u o ngfu. Although there are also dozens of fixed actions in his K u o ng f g u, every of them is based on the state of wholeheartedness, which shall be blended into the daily life. His K u o ngfu is easy to learn and so long as a person has moral integrity and a tranquil soul, he would not go astray. What's more, Tai-chi Way is directly connected with the source of life. He combed his theory and created a series of Kungfu, which has three key functions, i.e. Tai-chi Kungfu, Tai-chi health preservation and Tai-chi soul tranquilization. Mr. Kongming was apprenticed to more than twenty masters from the Buddhist, Taoist, Qigong and Wushu circles. Coupled with his insight as well as enlightenment of Laozi and the famous mentors of various dynasties, he got to know what the scientific Kungfu is, what the most rational healthcare is (Tai-chi health preservation) and what the real meaning of life is (Tai-chi soul tranquilization).
¡¡¡¡ Once, Mr. Kongming saw more than twenty masters of various schools or sects of Tai-chi Chuan perform in a Chinese Tai-chi conference. He found that the Tai-chi circle had many malpractices and a majority of the Tai-chi masters had misunderstanding on Tai-chi Chuan and only a few masters were somewhat to people's satisfaction but still have gone a little bit astray. Some of them have even changed Tai-chi Chuan into the Tai-chi Long Chuan; some have gone into the domain of other arts, which was not bad, though. He thought that the masters had their own advantages and artistic values and aesthetic perspective. Long Chuan is also an art, indeed. The mankind has created countless arts, each of which will ha s ve many learners anyway. Maybe it is because that people can't be perfect so that when they have one advantage, they will lose another. It depends on what need people seek. Format has its own beauty; kick-boxing has its own beauty; health preservation has its own way; while tranquilization of the soul necessitates abandonment of everything one is associated with. There is no need to mystify soul tranquilization, which can't be simpler, indeed. When you collect your wandering energy and concentrate it in yourself, you will become a beautiful flower. The flower will blossom only when your self disappears. The death of the self is the birth of the Way; this is the law.
¡¡¡¡ From the time he was sick in 1992 to the moment he transplanted a liver on December 1, 2004, Mr. Kongming experienced numerous tortures of diseases and ruthlessness of the society. Hepatitis, hepatocirrhosis, liver cancer (treated by an operation on November 26, 1992), massive haemorrhage of the stomach, severe gastric and intestinal ulcer, thorax hydrocele, peritonitis, hepatic ascites, oedema, swollen spleen¡Every disease was is lethal. The ascites once pressed him out of breath and rendered him sleepless overnight; the swollen spleen once choked the movement of food in his intestines; the thorax hydrocele once subjected him to a low fever for five months running and to lung piercing in order to pump the hydrocele; the massive haemorrhage of the stomach once took 2.5 kg blood away from him and reduced him to shock; the peritonitis once filled his chest with ichor and put his life in jeopardy; the gastric ulcer once gave him stabbing stomachache s whenever he was not careful enough in eating. Due to the lack of immunity, he has been in cold for long. He couldn't fall asleep and had a low spirit. His stalwart muscles have become floppy flesh and are susceptible to injuries. What's worse, once they were are injured, they would rehabilitate very slowly, which, he knew later, results from the worse bad function of the whole body¡During the seemingly endless fifteen years, Mr. Kongming has gone through innumerous tribulations and experienced all the ways of the world. His doctors have issued the notice of critical illness for four times in only eight years. Surprisingly, he survived until December 1, 2004 on which date he received the liver transplant operation. For a time he has already recuperated after he struggled with diseases with his Tai-chi Way to the degree that he, who has practiced Tai-chi Kungfu for six years and was plagued with heavy diseases, could overwhelm almost all other Tai-chi masters, some of who m were even famous masters in the Chinese Tai-chi circle. In 2002, his company had to build a large-scale factory, which covered an area of 200 mu and involved a large amount of investment. Mr. Kongming was the general designer and commander-in-chief, so he had to be busy day and night, to the degree that he could sleep only for 4-5 hours on average. He practiced his Tai-chi Way much less while his workload was enormous much heavier . After one and half a years' hard work, the factory was finally put into production on September 1, 2003. Afterwards, Mr. Kongming resumed his normal life and Kungfu practice in the past. Unfortunately, he has already broken down and been haunted by serious diseases then, which he didn't realize at all. As time went on, his ache became more and more stabbing so that he was sleepless all night. A later physical check found that the too swollen tumor had conglutinated the liver with the abdomen, which he could discover only after his company went through the American ASME re-inspection.
¡¡¡¡ Mr. Kongming has now recovered his Tai-chi Kungfu to a high extent. Due to the use of the anti-rejection medicine, his Kungfu was affected adversely to a certain degree. However, he said, without his Tai-chi Way, he wouldn't have lived to date. His Kungfu helped him out, rendering him a healthy body and the chance to explore the significance of life. Now he knows how to live his life. Life is transient, so we must live wisely and enlightenedly in the short life, or we will live in dreams ignorantly. Then we will waste our precious life.
¡¡¡¡ Mr. Kongming had his liver transplanted no t r for living but for life. It would not be worthwhile at all if one transplants the liver just for living. Now that he has transplanted his liver, he is a normal person. A normal person is supposed to do what the normal people would do usually. Never has Mr. Kongming ha d s felt any difference with other normal people; instead, he even felt himself superior to the normal people in many aspects. Subconsciously, people who transplanted their liver would deem themselves inferior to others; even some doctors would think so sometimes. They are quite wrong in this respect. Mr. Kongming is willing to communicate with any master-hand of martial arts, rather than compete with others in order to see who is superior. Competition tends to destroy harmony between people and court hostility and exclusion. Kungfu comprises no more than such elements as strength, speed, sensitivity, technique, stamina, etc, so Tai-chi masters may adopt a new communication approach, which may not be competition which would foster hatred in the Wushu circle. All schools of Tai-chi Kungfu belong to the same family. Mr. Kongming is willing to make friends with any other masters with the view to promoting Tai-chi all over the world and making contribution to the welfare of all the human beings. Masters could gather together and display their respective strength, power, speed, format, technique, etc. The purpose is to show their martial arts Kungfu rather than decide the winner or loser, which is meaningless indeed. Everybody has different genes and personal conditions and different practicing time and living conditions. In addition, the energy of a person is changing forever; so people may be high-spirited sometimes while low-spirited at other times and be powerful sometimes while weak at other times. Many factors work to affect our display of martial arts. A master-hand may not produce a master apprentice while a commonplace master may foster a master learner. This is because we have different insight and other conditions. We who have a transplanted liver can still become master Tai-chi people through scientific practice. Some people say they will be afraid of harming us, but we say we are afraid of harming them, too. Mr. Kongming can still lift up a more-than -50 kg person with a single hand, which is an impossibility for most normal people. It is not that Mr. Kongming has a strong desire to gain the upper hand over others, but that he wants all the patients under the heaven to cheer up. Disease is no big deal. So long as you have confidence, you would become healthy again. Miracles can be created; they it all depend s on how confiden t ce we are. Spirit can extend power to people, but negative spirit can be lethal. However, a majority of people don't know the adverse effect of negative spirit. In fact, such negative spirits as your fury, sorrow, concern, anxiety, low spirit, lack of confidence, sense of failure, sense of inability and quick-temper can all be the cause of illness. So we must keep enlightened and avoid falling into the dark. Maintain a good mental outlook and form good habits and have a positive attitude. In this way, you will have a happy and healthy life.
¡¡¡¡ Spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Chuan is in no need of any format of actions but has infinite changes. It eliminates the trouble of learning format, which is actually part of art. However, Kungfu does not necessarily have the format, which would, to the contrary, result in some negative effects, such as adverse impact on the flexibility of people, etc. Tai-chi Kungfu requires consciousness rather than strength. In practice, one's spirit and consciousness shall be dynamic. If the spirit moves, the consciousness moves; if the spirit quietens, the consciousness quietens. As a result, the spirit, body, consciousness and energy can be nourished and boosted. Consciousness is the foundation of Tai-chi Way , the basis of health preservation and the terrace to soul tranquilization. It is very simple. As a matter of fact, the Way is simple. Laozi said that ¡°the Great Way is simple and unadorned.¡± However, some traditional instructions in the Tai-chi circle tend to confuse and mislead people, which cause many people to misunderstand it and name it Tai-chi gym. Some other Tai-chi Chuan belongs to another art, which is different from real Tai-chi Kungfu. Masters of this Kungfu type are really respectable for it is impossible for others to reach their level that they can throw their opponents away the moment they are in contact. Actually, it requires interior factors to reach this level, so it will not be effective to the majority. For those who can effectively master the Kungfu, they can't even give a display to bring their Kungfu into play in confrontation. This is the fact, but still Mr. Kongming respects them and call calls them master on the ground that they do have advantages and that some of them are morally intact sound .
¡¡¡¡ Tai-chi Girl Fu Wenjie has basically mastered the spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Kungfu created by her father and gained a worldwide reputation. She can practice Kungfu when she stands, sits or in the state of non-existence. If necessary, she can stay in that condition for several days running. She persevered without any breaks during the eight years or so since she began practicing the Kungfu when she was twelve years old. Now she can be said to be an old master for eight female practitioners of Tai Kwan Do can't even move her. Even so, she never hold holds the practice of Kungfu as her goal because she knows that spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Chuan is no more than a step in the road towards the origin source of life.
