The Three Key Functions of Tai-chi Ways
Fu Wenjie is only a very common Tai-chi practitioner, whom we should not deify. Since Tai-chi Ways ' connotation is very rich and profound, a well-trained practitioner will sometimes be accompanied with many miraculous phenomena, which are quite normal but always incredible and give rise to misunderstanding. Therefore, we hereby briefly relate the three key function of Tai-chi Ways :
1. Kungfu of Tai-chi Ways : the absolute being idea Tai-chi Chuan and the absolute being idea internal Kungfu as well as the boxing skills are Kungfu of Tai-chi Ways. They are scientific and suitable for anybody to practice. They can improve people's state of mind and prolong people's life-span and enhance the quality of people's life.
2. Health Preservation of Tai-chi Ways: practice of such Kungfu as the absolute being idea Tai-chi and internal Kungfu can enrich people's vital energy and blood, smooth people's main and collateral vital energy channels, increase people's vitality and dredge the focus of infections so that diseases will be eradicated and life span will be elongated. The Kungfu of Tai-chi Ways has benefited many practitioners. Many people plagued by diseases have regained their health and happy life. It is through this Kungfu that Mr. Kongming defeated such diseases as terminal cancer, etc and became healthy and muscular again. This is not the result of building up muscles but of cultivating the mind and spirit.
3. Soul Tranquilization of Tai-chi Ways : the core practice method of Tai-chi Ways is based on the mind and spirit and focused on morals. It sets much store by a tranquil, unenterprising and carefree state of mind and the virtue of kindheartedness, which can help practitioners free themselves from the fickle and restless frame of mind. It advocates feeling one's innermost voice and preventing one's mind from wandering away, and thus making the lunatic and restless self peaceful and the body and spirit harmonious and compatible and making people lead a happy life. Various changes will take place during the practice of Tai-chi Ways , which is normal. When this happens, remember to listen to your master. If the good frame of mind prevails, you will safely tide over all of the changes, which may be of the body, of the outside world, or of the inner psyche (some dub it illusion). This is not superstition. Every Kungfu practitioner feels it. People can't be blamed for their ignorance of such changes if they have never practiced Kungfu. Nothing is impossible in this boundless universe and everything is a great invention of the Creator. That's why we must be tolerant of and adaptable to anything in the world. In fact, this is following the Ways, which are easy to go along and hard to go against. Let Nature be!
