Wang Fei, a Practitioner of Tai-chi Way, Challenges Tai-chi Masters
I am Wang Fei, a practitioner of Tai-chi Way . I was born in August, 1983 in Zibo , Shandong Province. I am a first class sportsman at the national level. I am fond of martial arts since I was a little child. I practiced kick-boxing during the period of 1999-2005 and won municipal, provincial and national championships respectively. I started to exercise Tai-chi Way Kungfu since 2005.
The following are the honors I have won in competitions:

Championship of the 75 kg group of the youth kick-boxing tournament held by Shandong Province in 2000;

Participated upon invitation of the Wulin Wind program of Henan Provincial TV Station in 2006 in the filming of the personal martial art master program Story of the Sword and Saber (Yi Tian Tu Long Ji) of the Martial Art Master Dream Workshop and acted the role of the hero Zhang Wuji; in the meantime, I was selected by the director of the large-scale TV serial ¡°Legend of the Shaolin Temple¡± to take part in the filming of the program, acting the role of the head of the housecarl.
In 2005, I was allowed to retire from the kick-boxing team upon my strong demand. Why did I choose to drop out of my boxing career after I had won so many glorious achievements? Because the years' boxing have caused great harm to my health; and every joint of mine has suffered injury, which made me sick and tired. I lost interest in martial art because I know, if I continue to practice boxing, my health and lifespan will definitely be affected adversely.
Quite by accident I got to know Tai-chi Way Kungfu after my withdrawal from the boxing team. The founder of Tai-chi Way , Mr. Kongming, once practiced kick-boxing for more than ten years. He created a comprehensive and scientific Kungfu-practicing approach, which has not only boxing functions but also heath preservation functions. In face of such scientific Kungfu, which requires no tedious exercises of kick-boxing, what's more, I was very interested in the boxing Kungfu of Tai-chi Way, so I devoted myself again into the martial art that I like very much. Ever since, I practiced Tai-chi Way Kungfu every day. My master also taught me every action. Tai-chi Way remedied my inadequacy in practicing kick-boxing and taught me many truths. My Kungfu became more and more complete. Compared with my previous training method of kick-boxing, Tai-chi Way Kungfu is much more scientific, relaxing and pleasurable. It is a scientific Kungfu indeed. Now I often practice for several hours every day without knowing the passage of time. What's more, I have never felt fatigue. What I felt every time after practice was miraculous comfort and pleasure and sublimation of my soul. My Kungfu also saw improvement with each passing day, which contrasted sharply with the fact when I practiced kick-boxing. My muscles are much more pliant than before, and perform much better in terms of strength, speed, sensitivity and coherence, etc now. They were more muscular and sturdier in the past, but acted more slowly and less coherently. Now my actions are more adroit and acute and rapid. My Kungfu is really better than before. Tai-chi Way includes mainly three functions £º Health preservation, soul tranquilization and Kungfu cultivation. Besides, it shapes beautiful figure. I have mastered the practice method and connotation of Tai-chi Way and it is the result of several-hundred-hour teaching of my master in recent years. What I practice every day now is the 48-style internal power Kungfu and the 69-style spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Chuan, which are both characteristic of boxing art. With only a slight difference in spirit and consciousness, a same Kungfu may have different effect in preserving health and eradicating diseases. What's more, it can tranquilize people's mind and calm restless souls down. Only when people settle down their mind can they enjoy joy and tranquility.
During this period, I have never received such weight-lifting trainings as lifting barbells, but my strength, instead of weakening, was more powerful than before. Once I went to the fitness center to check whether my strength has become weaker. To my great surprise, I succeeded in lifting up a 100 kg weight with grace and I could only lift 100 kg when I received professional trainings. I have never gone through the strength training in this period, but I could lift up what I couldn't have lifted when I was a professional sportsman! About one and half year after I withdrew from the boxing team, I went back to my team and tried a dual fight with that band of brothers of mine. To their surprise, I haven't received boxing training for so long, but my speed, strength and response were all superior to theirs. Remember that they have been training for dual fights every day! Questioned one after another by them, I finally told them the truth that I had practiced Tai-chi Way Kungfu for a long time. In fact, Tai-chi Way Kungfu is in nature an art of free boxing, which stresses strength and speed and quick response. It has infinite movements and postures, which are all finished in a flash. The fist, hand, foot, elbow, knee, shoulder, crotch and head are all used. Still, it stresses the throwing and seizing of one's opponents. All these and the thirteen postures of Tai-chi Chuan are all developed to the highest degree in spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Chuan and spirit and consciousness Kungfu. I like all of them because they eliminate the boredom and inadequacy of my previous kick-boxing trainings.
One time when I practiced the 48-style internal power Kungfu, I felt all of a sudden that my knee injured in my boxing training was wrapped by a spell of warm air, which last for almost one minute, and my knee of this has never ached ever since. One recent experience happened when I was practicing the 69-style spirit and consciousness Tai-chi Chuan. That moment, I was making a movement with my hands, but slowly I felt my hands no longer existed and my whole body was moving as if a nebula of vital energy was in motion. I felt like being dissolved, becoming the core of the energy and having limitless strength. It was that miraculous and comfortable. It last for several minutes and disappeared the moment when I was still feeling the happiness it brought. I think this is exactly what Mr. Kongming calls realization. When you are void of thoughts, the realization will emerge automatically. This is also what we call perception. Since I have practiced kick-boxing and mastered relatively good dual fight techniques, I have made quick progress in practicing boxing skills of Tai-chi Way . Moreover, I have a good understanding of them and exercise them very seriously. As a result, I have basically succeeded in mastering the Kungfu.
The reason why I speak out my changes during the period when I practiced Tai-chi Way Kungfu is that I want the Tai-chi Chuan fans nowadays to learn the real Tai-chi Chuan because the present Tai-chi Chuan is a mixture of true and fake Kungfu which are difficult to distinguish from one another and which result in frequent occurrence of waste of time and money of the devout followers. I am a beneficiary of Tai-chi Way . In order that Tai-chi learners don't waste time and energy any more, I am willing to test every famous master with my own Kungfu. Only in this way can we distinguish the real masters from the fake masters. I give you masters ten thousand reasons not to come. If the comers' Kungfu is inferior to mine, I will keep it secret; if the comers' superior, I will declare their names and addresses online so that Tai-chi learners can contact them easily. But in order not to affect my normal work due to too frequent contests, the comers shall be the chief master or famous master of various schools or sects. China 's Tai-chi culture has an extremely long history. Every school has its own strengths and weaknesses and every master's Kungfu has its own characteristics. So we can't judge the good or bad by success or failure of the testing and must learn the advantages of every master. I am not an ever-victorious champion; I will sometimes be defeated by others. So I will learn from anybody with an open mind. Nevertheless, Tai-chi Way's Kungfu is really very vehement, which tends to make people think that all what I say is no more than a game. However, I will keep my master's instructions in mind that one should be kindhearted to others. I will not complain if I am defeated. What we seek is to demonstrate the Kungfu of Tai-chi Way, not to see who is superior or inferior in the martial art for the fame in the society.
China 's Tai-chi Way will absolutely go out into the world and be loved by people all over the world. Let us work hard to promote it who are fond of Tai-chi Way . The future is definitely bright.
