You enter the state of empty-mindedness and then practice Tai-chi Chuan, doing various movements such as stake-standing, sitting, lying and walking. When your empty-minded state will not be influenced by any of your actions, you can do whatever in your life while maintaining the void state, which is realization in fact. This is what we call Tai-chi soul tranquilization. If you just want to practice drill boxing, soul tranquilization will settle you down and empower augment your energy and build up your body. Master Osho said, if you make it, you can just wait unintentionally for the new transformation, which will happen miraculously. In the end, the empty-mindedness will be smashed and only existence remains. Then you undergo a drastic change and you succeed.
I don't want to speak too much, because even those masters who have attained the Way can't express it with words , either . Laozi highlighted the speechless teaching for the Way is actually ineffable. Sakyamuni preached for several decades, but finally he said he had spoken nothing. Osho may be the one who spoke most among the masters who have attained the Way, but also he exhorted that people forget whatever he had said. If you speak nothing, you will not have questions. The more you speak, the more problems you will encounter. The world is a contradictory existence in nature. The knowledge of the world and the problems of the mankind are simply too much to be articulated. So why not throw away all of the problems. When you have done away with all the problems, you will find who on earth you are.
He who knows will not speak; he who speaks does not know. However, we still tend to speak because for the contemporary people the effect will be better when we speak out. Our wise prophet Laozi have seen through everything as early as 2,600 years ago, but the nowaday philosophers, litterateurs, historians or military strategists can't actually perceive what Laozi really meant by his words. When they interpret his works, they just translate his words literal ly and thus only end up in misleading others. Laozi's work the Classic of the Way and Virtue 祇蟻将 contains 81 chapters. Each chapter has only scores of words, but the connotation of every chapter is so abundant that even a book is not enough to cope with it.
.
Laozi said, ^If a person learns knowledge, he will make progress with each passing day, but if a person seeks the Way, he will get more and more unenterprising in the passage of time. If this continues, he will finally end up in ina c tion . Inaction , which means action in everything indeed. ̄ In fact, these words it means that the more a person knows, his thoughts and self will be stronger and he will be more fickle and restless and deviate farther more from the Way. But if he follows the Way, his thoughts and self will be reduced or weakened. And in the end, his self and lunacy will be replaced by tranquility, which is nature of the Way, the joy, the emptiness, the divinity and also the humanity. Only when the self is removed can the nature be revealed, as if the blue sky will show up naturally when the dark cloud disperses. If we integrate the nature, i.e. the divinity, with our body, then every act of ours will be divine and instinctive. Our bodies will no longer move mechanically; our mind will no longer run wild; and our emotion will no longer be impulsive. Every behavior of us will be based on the consciousness realization and will have the omnipotent ability of the Way. At this time, one will no longer be a person led by the self, which compels him to strive for various goals. He will be inactive and devoid of the self; however, he will be able to do whatever he wants. The only difference is that he lives with realization, which is exactly the Way. So such person is said to have attained the Way. Our intentional consciousness is different from that of the persons who have attained the Way, but is the first step to attain the Way.
Laozi also said that ^ the net of Heaven has large meshes, but it lets no thing through ̄. People always think that he is saying that a criminal will not get away from punishment. In fact, Laozi was expressing a great law, namely, whatever people do, whether visible or invisible, such as thoughts, words and behaviors, behaviors, will have a response in the world and not even the slightest one can fly in face of this principle. A big doing has a big response while a small one has a small response. Attention shall be paid to the point that it is response rather than retribution.
Practice Approach of Tai-chi Soul Tranquilization
Catharsis
The world is full of suppressions, which will resist and break out in the end. People also ha ve s suppressed many things, such as hatred, anger, sorrow, love, sex, happiness, cry, laughter, desire, etc. H h owever, what you suppress will not easily disappear; instead, it remains to be with you and influential or even harmful to you or even harmful to you . . It irritates you, weighs on your mind, change s your personality, disturb s your emotion or brews cause diseases in you. So we must vent it out. Only catharsis can clear the rubbish out of us and can we have tranquility, happiness, peace and health. There are many ways of catharsis, which can be chosen according to actual conditions of everybody. We have the spiritual catharsis, the physical catharsis, the sentimental catharsis, etc. Their examples include crying, laughing, yelling, shedding tear, running at the nose, relaxing the bowels, striking objects, hitting the clothes or photos of another, etc. The bottom line is not to harm others. Different catharsis methods may be used in different situations. If you can enter a free state , your body will undergo catharsis automatically. After catharsis, you will be a stranger to yourself; you will enjoy serenity and joy, which is good to your soul tranquilization.
However, you shall hide your r love and happiness shall be hidden deeply . It so that they will grow in you. Don't speak it out; otherwise, you will nip it in the bud. On the contrary, you shall articulate such negative things as irritation, concern, fury and grief. You vent them out if you speak them out; otherwise, they will take root in you and poison do harm to you.
Relaxation
Relax your mind and stand aloof from the worldly affairs. You may do whatever you want, but can never be too dedicated. Do it when it comes and let it go when it finishes. If you always want to defeat others or compete, how can you really relax? Only the complicated interpersonal relationship bothers you to death; do you still think it is necessary to be so emulative? We shall take whatever comes into our life with ease. Nothing is the big deal; nothing is in need of our c oncern are ; nothing is a must. If you live in your thoughts, you live in the dark, indeed. Realization can settle your mind down ; , so can natural relaxation of your body. To relax your body consciously will be conducive to the circulation of your spirit and energy.
Relax, relax and still relax. Relaxation will weaken or eliminate the self, set you free, preserve your energy and make you happier give you more happiness .
Let the whole world relax; let your mind relax; let your body relax; and let you rself relax!
Acceptance
Everything in the world is no coincidence; they are it is divine and inevitable. Therefore, you are supposed to accept everything without any complaints. Whether the good or bad, the right or wrong, the hostile enemy or amicable friend , the noble or humble , , the rich or poor, the sad or joyous, or the living life or dea d th , accept anything that whatever happens in nature, the society or yourself. Acceptance does not mean suffering. It means to accept everything with grace and without desire peacefully and gratefully . To oppose them is to oppose the divine and yourself. Opposition will render you live in tensions, setbacks and pains. You shall go along with the current instead of going against it; otherwise, you will work in vain. As the saying goes, he who follows the Way will flourish and he who contradicts the Way will die.
However, if you do want to change something, then do it with happiness and gratitude and kindheartedness.
Alertness
Living is like treading on eggs. A slight inadvertence will get us lost. So we must keep alert against dangers and maintain realization of the Way. There are many beautiful snares in the world and the self is greedy and dreamy, so we must beware of them at any time in life. Although they are sometimes strong, exciting or alluring, such as fury, sorrow, vexation, grief, play or sex, the real ^we ̄ do not need them, indeed. These are only the wave rather than the sea and the dark cloud rather than the blue sky. If you can perceive them, you come to enlightenment. Many people do know that they should not do a thing, but they can't help doing it. This is because people have a nature called desire or inertia, such as logging onto the internet, having sex, eating, drinking, smoking, gambling, etc. Some of them are from the mind; some from the body; while some from the self. Wherever they are from, if we don't realize them, we will live in a dream and be reduced to a totally worthless person. Therefore, we must be aware of them at every moment in life. However, we tend to loss our awareness. For example, when an incident takes place, we will naturally devote ourselves into the issue and thus forget to keep aware to hold on to realization . Your thoughts, your body and your emotion will all take control of you and make you forget who you are. Whether to Whenever we see, hear, think, act or feel , we , we must experience experience the process on the basis of awareness warily . Whatever you do in the state of realization is correct; otherwise, everything you do equals a dream.
Enlightenment
You will be detached and transcendent if you look at deal with your behavior, thoughts and sentiment and whatever others passively. To look is to observe, not only with your eyes but also with your brain. It is a sense; it is a realization. If you persist in observing, your observation ability will be stronger. If you are engrossed in observation all day long, then all what you have to do is to wait effortlessly and a deeper observation will come into being to you . Then you become observation itself, which is joy and enlightenment. The motion of Tai-chi Kungfu is based on realization, so is its stillness. You will find that your enlightenment is the center, while others, such as your body, thoughts and sentiment, are just your attachment. You will be able to be with yourself as well as your body, thoughts and sentiment . You can and play with them, which, however, has changed in nature.
Wholeheartedness
Eat when you eat and sleep when you sleep. Dedicate yourself to what you are doing. If your body and mind are not at one, you are a split person because your body is doing one thing while your thought is doing another. The energy of our sentiment is ever-changing and we actually have many personalities, which are engaged in different things. Only when we realize them can we become wholehearted. Master Osho said that the dark vanishes when the light is on and that the dream will disappear when we wake up. Babies' behaviors, including crying and smiling, are all wholehearted devotion. A person who has attained the Way will no longer be split but wholehearted, the result of which is that every behavior of his will be perfect. The self is dead when he dies, but a new life takes control of him, through whom the divinity still works. Being perfect and wholehearted, he has blended into the heaven, earth and everything in the world. He eats only when he is hungry and sleeps only when he is drowsy. He responds when a thing happens and idles when the thing is gone. He will be enlightened and at one with the universe forever, even when he is sleeping. When he is tired and in need of rest, he is still enlightened with a profound and wholehearted consciousness, without thoughts, with existence, realization and tranquility only. A Buddhist said that he could enter a tranquil realm only after twenty or thirty minutes. If it took him so long to enter theat realm, his self was still very active and would take over the realm quickly. However, Tai-chi Girl Fu Wenjie can reach the tranquil realm as soon as he closes her eyes, no matter when she stands or sits during her practice of Tai-chi. What's more, she could do whatever in this circumstance wholeheartedly. Even so, she is still in need of self-purification and throwing away everything attached to him. When a person is devoid of even the slightest concern and desire, the divinity will come to him; so will love and joy. This is what we say to have attained the Way, or Buddhahood, which is real wholeheartedness.
For us who practice Tai-chi Chuan, we will be wholehearted and enlightened when our body and spirit are at one. The difference lies only in the degree to which we have reached the realm.
Tai-chi can enable people us to be enlightened and to access to the innermost of our heart. This is a truth we have discovered exclusive to the spirit and consciousness Tai-chi. We are willing to share the truth with all who have a predestined relationship with it.
To attain the Way is the objective of human evolution. Masters who have succeeded in this respect are our mentors. The sun is arisen; it is high time that we open ed our eyes.
